Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.

The seller and your contractual partner for the purchase agreement is the Paddle entity responsible for your purchase location, acting as Merchant of Record. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must therefore inform the Paddle entity identified in your order confirmation:

Inform that entity by means of a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email, of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, although this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, Paddle shall reimburse you all payments Paddle received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which Paddle receives notification of your withdrawal from this contract. Paddle will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this repayment.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

In the case of a contract for the supply of digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal expires early if

• Paddle has begun performance of the contract,
• you have expressly consented to Paddle beginning performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires,
• you have confirmed your acknowledgement that by giving your consent you lose your right of withdrawal upon the start of performance of the contract, and
• Paddle has provided you with a contract confirmation pursuant to Section 312f of the German Civil Code on a durable medium that records your consent and acknowledgement.

This follows from Section 356 (6) of the German Civil Code (BGB). If the software is to be made available immediately as a download, Paddle must obtain your express consent and acknowledgement before performance begins. Without those declarations and the contract confirmation, the right of withdrawal does not expire early.
