The normal route
- Release it on the old machineOpen Settings, then License, then release the activation for this device. The app continues as Free afterwards.
- Install on the new machineDownload the installer and set the app up.
- Enter the keyPaste the same license key under Settings and License.
When the old device is gone
Failed drive, sold computer, a fresh install without releasing first: it happens. In those cases you can release the activation through your account. If you cannot find it there, write to us with your license key and we will release it.
What does not travel with you
- The generated previews. They belong to the individual machine and are rebuilt on the new one.
- Your folder list, unless you exported it. It is quickly recreated.
Swapping hardware inside the same machine, a new graphics card for example, does not count as changing device. If a bigger rebuild still triggers a new activation request, just get in touch.
